Alberta Shetland Lace Weight

This lovely yarn is mill-spun of Shetland wool from a farm here in Alberta. Each skein is approx. 7 ounces or 200 grams.  There are about 1500 yards in each skein.  One skein is enough to knit a lace shawl.  There is a penny in the photo to indicate the size of the yarn.

The color of this yarn is natural white, the natural color of the fleece.  You may find very small amounts of vegetation in this yarn because it has not been processed using an acid bath.   The producer feels that the character of the yarn is adversely affected by this process.  This is an excellent quality yarn that we are privileged to offer to you.
