Egyptian Cotton Top

Cotton is an ancient fibre cultivated by civilizations for thousands of years. The cotton plant blooms and produces seed pods called "bolls".  Cotton is short-stapled and soft.  The natural twist in cotton increases the elasticity and makes it easier to spin the fiber into yarn.

Egyptian cotton is the highest quality.  It is known for its exceptionally long staple and finer diameter of fibre.  This cotton is Top, so it is the best of the best.  Really nice quality.

"Top" means that it has been combed and the fibres are all aligned parallel.  There are no bumps or noils in this preparation.

Egyptian Cotton Top is packaged in 50 gram portions.  (50 grams = 1.75 ounces)
