This is Merino wool formed into a batt. A batt will unroll to a large rectangle of wool. It's a handy form if you are felting something that shape anyway -- pillow top, purse, background for a wall hanging etc.
It is local Merino, processed at the local mill. It has some bits of grass in it, but it is Merino and wet-felts well. The price is good, so you could use it for fill inside of a needle-felted form and save the colored wool for the outside. It may be hand-spun also.
This dyed wool is $17. per pound, but the batts come in various weights.
We have white plus four successively darker natural brown-grays-- listed separately, plus several dyed colors.
