Synthrapol is used as a surfactant or wetting agent to improve dye penetration.  It is also a detergent used to pre-scour fibers before dyeing.  It removes sizing from fabric.  It also removes excess fiber reactive dyes after dyeing.   Synthrapol is ph neutral.
