Silk Ribbon

Silk ribbon can be used in felting.  This is 5 momme Pongee silk.  The width is 10 cm or about 3/8 ths of an inch.  It is soft and flexible.  The edges are open, not turned or stitched, so it will be easier to felt into your wool.  Silk does not felt by itself, it must be captured, meaning you will need fine wool fibres to secure it into the piece. 

You can be very creative with this ribbon.  It is white, so perfect for dyeing.  Cut it into pieces or apply strands of ribbon to your felt.  There are 45 meters on each spool.
