Tussah Silk Top

Beautiful, quality fibre. Real luxury. This silk is very white and has the sheen that silk is known for. It is extremely fine and soft with a long staple length.

It's a little trickier to spin than some fibres, but the results are wonderful. You can blend it with wool, cashmere, alpaca, yak, or camel, or spin a single and ply it. Silk is lovely to dye. It absorbs dye easily and the colors are brilliant. Silk is a protein fibre, suitable for the acid dyes, such as WashFast acid dye. This preparation is "Top", so it has been combed and refined. Silk is the fibre that other fibres imitate.

This silk is sold in 100 and 200 gram packages.  (100g = 3.52oz. and 200g = 7.04oz.)
