Ashford Wool Cards are wood with metal teeth to card wool or other fibre. Used to straighten and fluff the fibre in preparation for hand-spinning. Cards also help to remove vegetable matter from the fleece.
I especially like the curved back which makes for easier, more rhythmic carding. Ashford wool hand cards have 72 wires per square inch. They measure 220 x 125 mm. which is approximately 9 by 5 inches. These are the standard cards used for wool.
