The Braunes Bergschaf sheep is a multi-purpose breed of domestic sheep which is raised for many different purposes such as meat, wool and vegetation management.
Bergschaf is also known as Brown Mountain sheep, Pecora nera-bruna and Schwarzbraunes Bergschaf (Italy). It originated from the Tyrol area of Austria and Italy.
Carded Bergschaf wool is 33 micron. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified. This wool is washed before carding, yet vegetable matter cannot be completely removed.
This blend is fine for needle-felting, wet felting and spinning. Saffron is dark yellow/gold color.
