Black Diamond Bamboo

Carbonized Bamboo has trade names of Black Gold and Black Diamond.  

This is Bamboo Top.  “Top” means that it has been combed and the fibres are all aligned parallel.  There are no bumps or noils in this preparation.  Bamboo is characteristically anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and eco-friendly.  It has a matte appearance and is fluffier than other bamboo.  This fibre has not been dyed, it has been heat-treated to achieve this gray color.

This fibre may be hand-spun alone, blended with other fibres, or used for paper-making.  Bamboo may be included in wet felting.  It must be “captured” like silk.

Black Diamond bamboo fibre is packaged in 25 gram, and 50 gram portions.  ( 25 grams= 0.88 oz, 50 grams= 1.76 oz.).
