White Mulberry cocoons produced by silk worms. These are empty. A hole has been cut to release contents. The worms produce sericin as they spin the cocoons which stiffens the fibre. These have been de-gummed. They are soft. Cocoons may be used for felting, hand-spinning, and paper-making.
