White Mulberry cocoons produced by silk worms. These are empty. A hole has been cut to release contents. The worms produce sericin as they spin the cocoons which stiffens the fibre. These have had the sericin removed, so they have been de-gummed. They are soft and may be dyed with ProChem colors. Cocoons may be used for felting, hand-spinning, and paper-making.
