Hand Card Replacement Pad

Golden Fleece hand card pads are available in 72 or 119 tpi (tines per inch). 72 is Standard for wool or if you want the possibility of producing Art Yarns.  You don’t want a cloth that is too fine so you can include locks, ribbon etc.  If your blending a lot of finer fibres such as Alpaca, Yak, Silk etc. then you might prefer the 119 tpi for finer fibres.

Replace the ineffective cloth on your hand cards or make your own set of hand cards. Each piece is 19 x 10cm with a vulcanized rubber backing and nickel-plated wire.  There is a space around the edge of the pad to allow it to be tacked or stapled to the cards.  You’ll need two of these for a pair of hand cards.
