Moshimer Rug Hook

Moshimer hooks are made of turned maple wood with a chrome ferrule. The hook measures  about 10cm (or 3 7/8 inches) from tip to base.  The handle alone is about 7.5 cm (or 2 7/8 inches) in length.  Fine, Medium and Coarse are steel hooks. Primitive is aluminum.

They are available with four sizes of hook: Fine, Medium, Coarse or Primitive for various size strips.

Fine –         #3 strip = 3/32 inch
Medium –  #4  strip = 1/8th inch
Coarse –    #6 strip = 3/16ths inch
Primitive – #8 strip = 1/4th inch (3.75mm hook)

Moshimer hooks have been well-known and used by rug hookers for many years.
