Viscose Top – Claret Red

Viscose is an ecologically green, cellulose fibre that is bio-degradable. Viscose Rayon is a fiber of regenerated cellulose; it is structurally similar to cotton, but may be produced from a variety of plants such as soy, bamboo, and sugar cane. It is non-static and breathable like cotton.   Viscose’s high moisture absorbency (13%, as opposed to 8% for cotton) and shade depth allow it to be dyed with deep and brilliant colors using plant dyes.  You’ll find it to be soft, silky, shiny and very fine.  One of Viscose strengths is its versatility and ability to blend easily with other fibres.  Reduces the cost of blends and imparts luster, softness and absorbency– thus comfort.

Claret is a deep red. Spin a shiny red yarn. Blend it with other fibres. Viscose does not wet-felt alone, but may be captured in your wool when felting. Use it to make paper and cut shapes for wet-felting. 

Sold in 25 and 50 gram portions. (25g = 0.88oz., and 50g= 1.76oz.)
