Baby camel has a similar micron count to cashmere, but is more affordable. Down is the soft under-coat of the camel that is 17 to 19 micron in fineness. Baby camel ranges in color from white to fawn, where adults are a brown color. This fibre has been run through a de-hairer to make sure you don’t get any of the coarser fibre from the outer coat. It looks like a cloud and is a creamy white color.
Camel is a very warm and fluffy fibre. Blends add length to the fibre, elasticity and drape. Wool and silk are often blended with camel.
