This is Merino/Rambouillet wool formed into a batt. A wool felting batt will unroll to make a large rectangle of carded wool. It’s a handy form for — a pillow top, purse, slippers, background for a wall hanging etc.
It is local fibre, processed at the local Alberta mill. It has some bits of grass in it, but it is wool and wet-felts well. It may be hand-spun also.
This wool is $32.95 per pound. That’s $7.25 per 100g, so good value. Batts are a pound (454 grams) or more.
