Burlap — Open-Weave for Wide-Cut Strips

Open-Weave Burlap is the backing fabric used by some rug hookers for primitive-style, or wide-cut hooking. It has a more open gauge to hold the wider strips. This fabric has a regular weave that makes hooking easier. It is good for the 6,7, 8 or larger cuts– that would be 6/16, 7/16, or 8/16 of an inch.
The width of the fabric is 48 inches/120 cm. Threads per inch 12 x 11. Sold in meters. Buy 5 meters or more for a 10% discount.
