Fine-weave Burlap is the backing fabric used by many rug hookers for narrow-cut hooking. It has a finer gauge to hold the more narrow strips. This fabric has a regular weave that makes hooking easier. Good for the 3,4,5 cuts– that would be 3/16, 4/16, or 5/16 of an inch. Burlap is the traditional fabric used for rug hooking, in fact pioneers used feed sacks.
The width of the fabric is 50 inches/127 cm. Threads per inch 13 x 16. Sold in meters. Buy 5 meters or more for a 10% discount.
