Two Stars Pattern

This pattern is simple, but it is great for a beginner.  You learn to hook a shape, going around the edge of the star.  You can do your border in a different color, outline the border, put squares in the corners, whatever you want.

Hook on Monk’s Cloth or Linen. A #6 (6/32nds of an inch) strip works well .  You can use a chunky yarn if you prefer.  The edges are all stitched, ready to go.  There’s lots of edge around the pattern (5″) to put it nicely into your hoop or onto a rug hooking frame.

Pattern area is 14×9 inches (about 46x23cm).  Learn to hook without having a big, intimidating pattern.  This mat would be great on the wall or on a table top.
