Merino/Bamboo is a 70% Merino and 30% Bamboo blend. The Merino is 22 micron. Bamboo is ultra-shiny and enticingly fine and soft. This blend is popular dyed as well. It is beautiful when hand-painted. This blend is interesting when dyed because the Merino is animal and the bamboo is plant. They will take the dye differently for an interesting effect.
The Merino will wet-felt and bring the Bamboo along with it. The Bamboo makes a shiny squiggle in your wet-felted piece. You can blend it with other colors and other fibres. Merino/Bamboo is quite soft and lovely to spin, or the perfect thing for felting, either wet or needle felting.
