Irish Rug Hook – Ergo Handle Curved

These are beautiful rug hooks hand-turned with precision in Ireland.  The handles are of Yew wood and the hooks are brass.  The wood is beautifully smooth and feels good in the hand.  The varied woodgrain means no two handles are alike.  

Choose Ball Handle, Pencil Handle or Ergo Handle.  A special feature of these hooks is the tapered shaft.  As you hook, the taper opens up the backing fabric making it easier to pull the strip through.  The first number is the size of the hook in millimeters.  The second number is the width of the shaft.

This is the Ergo handle, but the shaft is curved.  Depending how you hold your hook, this may be better for you. Some people with arthritis are more comfortable with this hook.  It has a thumb indent that is on the left side for a right-handed user.  These hooks are no longer being produced.  What we have in stock is all there is.
