Irish Rug Hook – Ergo Handle

These are beautiful rug hooks hand-turned with precision in Ireland.  The handles are of Yew wood and the hooks are brass. The wood is beautifully smooth and feels good in the hand.  The varied woodgrain means no two handles are alike.  

Choose Ball Handle, Pencil Handle or Ergo Handle.  A special feature of these hooks is the tapered shaft.  As you hook, the taper opens up the backing fabric making it easier to pull the strip through.  

This is the Ergo handle.  It is nicely shaped to feel right in the hand.  It has a thumb indent that is in line with the hook, so when you pick it up it’s in the right position in your hand. The first size shown is the measurement of the hook.  The second number is the size of the shaft in mm.
